About Your Job:
This key role is in charge of providing aircraft operations technical support to the rapidly expanding Qatar Airways fleet, as well as flight crew and other airlines departments ensuring compliance with local and international regulations and practice.  Critical areas of focus including Aircraft Performance, Aircraft Weight and Balance, Aircraft Suitability studies and airport analysis, aircraft flight testing and acceptance support, aircraft modifications and new aircraft entry into service as well as being intrinsically involved with various projects that will ensure safe and economic performance of Qatar Airways airplanes.
In addition to the  Qatar Airways fleet the role holder will provide technical operations support to Qatar Executive and other fleets.
You will lead and develop a team of experienced Flight Operations Engineers, with a headcount of approximately 23, working with state of the art aircraft in a mixed fleet comprising of Airbus, Boeing, Gulfstream and Bombardier types.  You will ensure that your team are operating at subject matter expert standard across areas of accountability including operations, aircraft performance, weight and balance and technical support.
You will also be involved in establishing budgets and schedules, coordinating workloads and regularly evaluate the team’s objectives, plans, procedures and practices and make appropriate changes if needed. Proactively communicate with all levels of management to raise the standard and consistency of Flight Operations Engineering department and be responsible to train and develop employees for proper succession planning and risk management, assist in the response to any emergency or a major operations disruption affecting Qatar Airways and perform other duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you should have minimum of 10 years of practical experience in Flight Operations Engineering and Performance Environment ideally from with major airline exposure.  You must hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering.
It is essential that you have extensive aircraft operational and technical knowledge preferably across multiple fleets.
You will be influential and engaging when dealing with stakeholders and innovative and solution focused when tackling issues. Excellent communication and analytical skills are essential. It is vital you have a customer centric approach.
