Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to deliver efficient and effective finance-related support services to Units/Departments within DA’s Commercial/ Operations/ Group services/ Strategy & development Team. These support services include assistance in operational planning, budgeting and forecasting, providing business insight and decision support, financial analysis, monitoring and reporting of financial performance, and enhancing BU’s understanding of financial control.
The job holder will also be Finance Team’s link with the Unit/Department stakeholders, enabling robust financial control, enhancing risk management, contributing to more informed business decisions, and fostering continuous improvement of Finance processes.
Qualification & Education
The job holder will have a Bachelor’s degree in Management/ Business Administration/ Finance. A professional qualification (e.g. CA, CPA, CFA, CMA) will be advantageous.
Experience
At least 8-10 years’ experience in a highly commercial position preferably in the airport industry, with extensive exposure in accounting, analysis, business process management, change management, strong commercial mindset and ability to engage with the senior management of the business through close partnership. Also deep conceptual knowledge of airports service offerings is required.
Training
Certification required in the area identified in the experience section above for ongoing professional development or for mandatory purposes.
Knowledge
The job holder will have knowledge of accounting, finance, and principles of revenue and cost forecasting methodologies, commercial contracts, revenue cycle, costing and pricing methodologies, financial analysis, financial modelling, and process improvement. The job holder will also have knowledge of IFRS, corporate finance, leading practices, statutory laws, regulations, and related implications. Knowledge of planning, budgeting, forecasting and costing system.
