Job Purpose
​Computer labs supervisor and assistant in technology-related issues.

Main accountabilities & expectations
This position responsibilities include the following:

Maintenance and operations of computer labs to ensure computers are functional and ready to use by students and instructors,
Install, configure, and maintain file servers, workstations, and peripheral devices in accordance with established standards and procedures,
  Perform the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of software applications and suites; ensure compliance with license agreements and copyright legislation,
Provide user support for installed workstations, peripheral devices, and standard software applications; diagnose and resolve issues reported to the Help Desk Department,
  Advise and report problems with hardware and software to the Information Technology Department of technical issues and consult with vendor support agencies to resolve problems and determine equipment requirements,
Collaborate with operations staff to evaluate network requirements and develop solutions to provide the required services; install, configure, and troubleshoot network equipment,
Implement software utilities, install hardware devices, and develop procedures to ensure the security and reliability of equipment, software, and data resources
Hardcopy operational, procedural, and informational documentation sets for equipment standards, configuration,  troubleshooting, and repair procedures,
Oversee and supervise students during time in the computer lab,
Inform the CS Department of any changes to the lab, new software and features,
Manage and coordinate with other lab supervisors of the optimum use of the computer labs.

Preferred Qualification & Experience
Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in computer engineering or computer science.
Preferably 2 years experience in a computer lab situation
Experience with popular office and multimedia applications.
Should have experience working with students in a higher education setting.
Should have experience in supervision or coordinating
