Job Title: Library Officer – IT

Job Purpose
​Provides technical support to library staff and users. Configure and maintain information technology equipment, facilities and software, including personal computers, printers, scanners, multimedia facilities and networking issues.

Main accountabilities & expectations
Installing and configuring the computers, printers, scanners, network devices and audio-visual equipment
Upgrading, trouble-shooting and providing maintenance to hardware, software and other applications
Providing onsite IT support with immediate response to users' requests
Ensure that equipment in all instructional facilities are functioning optimally, such as the smart classes, multi-purpose rooms, theatres, seminar rooms, ..etc.
Follow up, identify and advice regarding new technology appropriate for university library environment
Assist in the development of the policy and procedures for IT use at the library and Code of Conduct
Provide Support to students in the use of library hardware and software
Maintain library software and hardware designated for students with special needs
Coordinate and work closely with the library system specialists for the optimum support of the staff
Prepare regular reports and mapping plans for the library systems and equipment, registering equipment location status and availability
Assist in the library Website update
Contribute to the library social media posts and accounts update

Preferred Qualification & Experience

Bachelor of Computer Science
3 Years experience in the IT support field, academic environment is preferred
Knowledge of MS Windows Operating System, MS Office, LAN: Networking Basics, maintenance of PCs and computer peripherals hardware and software
